Ballchute    We don't have a computerised online booking system - we don't need one! There are some restricted times for 'members only' on a few mornings but visitors are welcome throughout the week, just phone the Pro Shop first to avoid disappointment. Should it be necessary to queue, put your ball in the ball-chute, although nobody remembers the last time they had to use it! One of the real charms and advantage of a 9-hole course is that you don't have to spend up to 5 hours on the course.

It sounds silly, but it's not always that easy to just play a quick 9 on an 18-hole course, and you can rarely pay for it. We have many quiet times, we call it 'millionaires golf', when you can stroll around, occasionally playing a couple of balls, and see nobody at all. Bring the dog if you like; well-behaved dogs are welcomed around the course.

Left: Holtye's state of the art booking system!
