Unlike our old system of booking (see the picture of ball chute on the left) we have come into the 21st century and we now have a new computerised online booking system. One of the real charms and advantage of a 9-hole course is that you don't have to spend up to 5 hours on the course.
It sounds silly, but it's not always that easy to just play a quick 9 on an 18-hole course, and you can rarely pay for it. We have many quiet times, we call it 'millionaires golf', when you can stroll around, occasionally playing a couple of balls, and see nobody at all. Bring the dog if you like; well-behaved dogs are welcomed around the course.
Left: The redundant OLD state of the art Holtye's booking system! |
